Chapter 43
I ate slowly as I watched everyone seated at the table.
Greyson, his face in a scowl as he ate. This guy was always too serious. I watched ast he picked the peas out, he must have some sort of allergy to them.
My sister,Giselle beside him in an elegant grey dress,I recognize that
dress, Greyson had bought it for her to wear on Rielle’s birthday, last summer. She was as beautiful as always and ate with a certain kind of elegance that only came from a woman of class.
She wasn’t given much credit, but she was strong, she was still very much sane after so many stillbirths.
My immediate younger brother, Tanner, who was always away doing goddess knows what every time that he had little to no time with us. I was only worried that he might be depressed from not finding his mate. I was surprised to see him in the mansion today,he said he had been studying about rocks.
Amara,in a black dress fiddling with her fork and sighing as if she’s tired of the meal, but why?,perhaps she had no appetite because the meal was tastier than anything I’ve ever tasted. Maybe because I told the head cook to prepare it herself. She must resent me a lot for letting Rielle live in the mansion, but I had no choice. In due time, she’d understand.
Eve beside her in a blood red dress that seemed to be everywhere. Our eyes met and she held my gaze, undeterred, until I looked away.
Rick, seated in between Eve and Amara, eating slowly. I heard Amara caution him to stop playing with his food, but it seems she also was playing with her meal.
Rielle was eating slowly, she had said that the pregnancy took her appetite.
Alma, my aged grandmother looked like she was dead, the way she was hunched up on her chair. I was about to panic when she groaned.
She hasn’t been eating well for a while now and I was beginning to get worried.
“I…I had a vision,” she suddenly blurted out and Giselle sighed.
Alma was always having a foreboding or a terrible vision of something, but she always ended up forgetting what it was.

Chapter 431
“What is it this time Alma?,” I asked.
“I don’t know…I’ve forgotten. Maybe when I sleep,it’ll come back,” she said and suddenly started snoring.
That was how easy it was for her to fall asleep.
“Forget it! and go to bed,” Giselle said after a long sigh and beckoned on two of the maids to come take her to her room.
“How many months?,” Amara suddenly asked and I looked at her with a furrowed brow.
“Months of?,” I questioned as I watched the maids take Alma gently to her room.
“The question is meant for Rielle. We don’t know how many months pregnancy it is,” She stated firmly.
She was right,we never asked but there’s no need to. I had to believe and trust
Rielle.
“What does it matter?, the Alpha is the father of my unborn baby,” Rielle answered with a smile.
There was no hint of a lie or pretence on her expression.
“There’s no way
no way we’d know that for sure, it could’ve been ‘Norman’s” Amara said and it was the way she stressed Norman’s name that made me raise my brows. quizzically.
“I still have Lucien’s mark, I’m still his mate,I couldn’t have possibly slept with another man,” she said.
I scoffed, having my mark didn’t mean she couldn’t be with someone else,as I’ve seen with Amara,it was possible, especially as she isn’t my fated mate.
Tanner gulped loudly and I glared at him. Izoned out Amara’s and Rielle’s. bickering as a thought suddenly came to my mind.
Tanner hasn’t found his mate and at his age, might never find her. Eve on the other hand rejected hers. They’re both single and now the best thing to do was try to match them, they’d suit each other perfectly.

“Tanner, have you found someone?,” I asked and everyone turned to me,Rielle and Amara suddenly kept quiet. They seemed surprised.
“What kind of question is that Alpha?,” he asked, looking surprised.
“We don’t know where you’ve been wandering off to and I don’t want you to end up lonely and depressed,” I stated and to my surprise, he burst out laughing.
“It’s not funny,” I said and Giselle scoffed.
“It is Lucy,it is.” I glared at her and she chuckled.
“So you want to help me?,” he asked and I nodded.
“Of course, I’m the Alpha as well as your elder brother. It is my duty to help you,” I stated and he snorted.
“So how are you exactly planning on helping me?,”
“By giving you someone. She’s smart and beautiful and equally single and almost. depressed,” I said and I saw Greyson holding back a smile.
Tanner glanced around the table. “And the person is here right now?,”
“Perhaps,” I said and he cackled.
“You’re referring to me, aren’t you?,” Eve suddenly said, dropping the glass of wine she was holding.
“I think the one who needs help here is you brother,” he said in between laughter.
“And I am not depressed,” Eve added.
“You are an Alpha without a Luna. I don’t think you’re one to talk about being lonely and depressed,” he shot out firmly.
“I have….,” I was saying when he cut me off again.
“You have a Luna?,who?,two lunas?. You have two women here, both of whom are confused about which of them is Luna?,” he said and I realized that he had a valid point.
I didn’t announce Amara as my Luna due to Rielle’s interference on the day of silverpine’s ball and since then didn’t mention either of them as my Luna.

“You should mind the way you talk to me, I’m still your Alpha,” I growled and he shrugged.
“But he’s right. We do not have a Luna in this kingdom. It won’t be long before the elders start coming with their talks now,” Giselle spoke this time around.
“And we cannot allow you to make someone who tried to kill you,who harméd your children, who killed our brother and connived with the traitor to become a Luna. It’s unacceptable,” She said and Tanner scoffed.
“What would you have him do?Make an Omega from a humble family, the Luna?,” he chuckled.
“You’re now stuck in a dilemma, brother. What’s that they used to say, sitting on a fence, you’re now sitting on a fence, you can’t pick one over the other as they’re both with children,” he said and I swallowed hard.
“What’s the need when there is already a Luna, ordained by the moon goddess. herself,” Eve spoke and Rielle scoffed.
“The goddess makes mistakes,” she said and Amara laughed.
“Like in your case?,” she glanced at Eve who seemed to be signalling to her to be quiet.
“Quiet everyone!. There’s a child here and you’ve all been bickering.” Giselle said. and I turned to see Rick whose mouth was open as he watched us.
Amara got up and carried him to the maids. She whispered something to him and made him follow the maids, presumably to his room.
She came back and sat down.
“Why didn’t you go with him?,” I questioned and she sighed.
“Because I’ve been curious about something,” I saw Eve trying to get her attention. but it seemed as though she was avoiding Eve’s gaze.
“Who is your mate?,” she said, facing Giselle..
“What kind of question is that?,” Greyson said,I could see a vein tick in his jaw.
It was amusing to see them bickering amongst themselves, they’d never know what

I had planned.
“One that requires an Answer,” she fired back.
“This is what happens when you put an omega in the same place with other higher ranked wolves.” Rielle said, her voice laced with disgust.
“Amara, why are you asking?,” Giselle questioned, after putting her hands up for them to stop arguing and allow her to speak.
“I’ve just been curious about something, that’s why,” she said and I swallowed hard. I was trying so hard to resist.
“I don’t know, happy now?,” she finally said after a long silence.
I poured myself a glass of wine, watching Rielle as she eyed Amara suspiciously.
“Brother all these chaos will end when you name one of these two women your Luna,it’s becoming too chaotic here,” Tanner said.
“I will just not yet,” I replied and Rielle scoffed.
“Why bother doing that?I still remain Luna,” she said matter of factly and I saw a small sad smile on her face.
“You’re no Luna!,” Amara lurched forward at her.
“Stop Amara…” Eve cautioned and she clenched her fist.
“Go ahead,do something, doesn’t doing something always work?,” she pointed out and Amara stood up.
“No!” Eve yelled, but it was too late as the words rolled out of Amara’s l*ps.
