The Rejected Delta’s Secret Pups Chapter 54

Chapter 54

What the hell was she thinking bringing the acclaimed leader of the blood creek. here?,to prove that Rielle was faking it?!. That was a wrong move!.

“Seize him!,” Rielle yelled, even before I could say anything.

“Stop!,” she yelled, but of course,Rielle was the Luna. No one would listen to someone who wasn’t the Luna.

I saw Eve looked at me,with eyes that seem to say ‘you’re being used‘. I ignored her and turned to the guard. “Lock him up in the cell and tighten the security there!. This one here is a hardened criminal!”

“Lock them both too. They brought a traitor to Silverpine,” Rielle ordered and I swallowed hard.

“No,leave them be. I’ll punish them in my own ways,” I stated firmly and turned to walk back inside when she grabbed my arms.

“Lucien, this isn’t you,” She said, tears beginning to cloud her eyes.

“I..,

I was suddenly interrupted by Rielle who gave her a deafening slap. I was shocked. beyond words, but I know better than to act. If I do anything now, I’ll lose everything. I need to find the true leader of the blood creek. One thing I was sure was that it wasn’t Norman.

Apparently, he wasn’t wise enough to lead a rebel group. I clenched my fist as my heart clenched in my chest. I felt pains and I swallowed hard, exhaling loudly to calm myself and stop myself from doing anything.

“How dare you call the Alpha by his name?,have you no respect?,” She thundered and a thought came to my mind. If I let Amara go,Rielle would find her and hurt her,if not even kill her. She was already angry that someone that is a threat to her, that might reveal her identity was already here and to stop that, she might need. to eliminate both him and Amara,as well as Eve.

“Take them!,” I commanded and I saw the look of disappointment on Eve’s face. She said nothing, but Amara kept yelling that I had to listen to her, that Rielle was lying.

There’s no where more safer than the Cells I could think of,at least I would watch over her anf make sure the security is tightened to prevent anything from happening. Also, I’ll handpick the guards to be watching her myself.

I couldn’t trust anyb*dy anymore. Not Greyson, and as much as it hurts, not event my sister. She was married to him,she would do whatever he wants.

I walked away and Rielle followed me. She hugged me from behind and I knew she would be smiling, thinking about how much of a fool I was.

“You did well,my love.”

I grunted, my heart clenching at the thought of me being with the woman that kidnapped my son, slapped my mate and tried to kill me.

“I know you still have feelings for her..”

“I don’t,” I said quickly,cutting her off.

“I know you do. You don’t have to deny it. The mate bond is strong. But what you..”

“Stop. Just Stop,Rielle.”

Why was she suddenly acting as if she knows about what I was going through. I didn’t need her fake sympathy!.

I walked out of the room, leaving her there and went to the archery ground. It began to shoot arrows, hitting the targets until I felt Greyson behind me.

“What’s up Man,” He said and I grunted in response, without turning to look at him.

“I heard you have Norman,” he paused and sighed. “And the Müller Women.”

I spun around to face him. “Yes,”

“Are you sure about what you’re doing?, Rielle is not…”

“She’s your Luna,” I stated firmly, annoyed that they wouldn’t even let me have a moment of peace to myself. I needed to think!,to strategize!, because Rielle would

not sit still.

She would find any means to take Amara out of the way. I knew she would have hated me to the point of no return. There would be no redemption. There was no

way I could ever convince her that I was doing all these to let Rielle lose her guard. and get our son quickly before the blood moon.

I didn’t tell anyone as I didn’t want them to panick but the ancient artifact was gone. Meaning that, they could drain my son’s blood on the day of the blood moon to do the ritual. And then, there would be nothing stopping them from taking the community.

I had stumbled into the vault one night, after Rielle came back after having a nightmare and I went to the place where it was kept. I wanted to hold it in my hands as I began to wonder how such a harmless looking item could bring doom.

As soon as I held it in my hands,it melted. I cursed out loudly!. Rielle and her groups had played me. The artifact had been taken since, probably the day she got back and something was conjured to look like it.

I began to wonder if there was another key, because I had kept both my key and the Crone’s key in a secret compartment in my room and it didn’t seem to have been opened. I had to get Rielle to sl*p up and reveal something, anything.

“Alpha,it’s going to be fine,” Greyson said, bringing me back to the present and breaking my chain of thoughts.

I chuckled and threw the bow on the ground, patting Greyson on the back.

“Sure,it’s going to be fine. We have the leader of the blood creek and his associates,” I said as I strode away.

I hoped he believed that I knew nothing. I had to play along with their games.

I walked to the cell and told the guards to give us privacy.

“Lucien,” she whispered, the hurt in her eyes, evident.

“Why did you bring him here?,” I questioned, ignoring the burning ache in my

chest.

She kept quiet, avoiding my gaze. She must’ve thought of me as someone unworthy of her trust.

I sighed as I moved closer to her. “Amara, you have to help me,to help you.”

She glanced at me,hesitating on whether to trust me or not.

It was understandable after what she’s been through, she would never trust me anymore.

She sat up and exhaled loudly. “Norman is not the leader of the blood creek,” she finally said and I nodded.

She looked at me,a puzzled expression on her face. She seemed surprised to see me looked unfazed but her revelation.

“I know,” I said softly.

“How..,” she was asking when I interrupted her.

“Norman isn’t smart enough to pull of such a thing,” I explained and she nodded.

“Rielle…”

“I’m sorry I let her hit you. I’m sorry about everything, but I didn’t think you’d understand. I had to let her trust me,to quickly get our son back,” I explained to her and she began to cry.

“I really want to wrap my arms over you and take you away from all these, but I believe Rielle is even more powerful than we give her credit for. She might have. spies among the guards here,” I said and she began to wipe her tears.

“The child isn’t yours.”

I nodded. “I know.”

“Do you know who the leader is?,” I demanded.

“No, Norman won’t say..can’t say,” she stated and I scrunched my brows in confusion.

What does she mean about Norman being unable to tell us about who the leader

was.

“What?”

“He’s under an oath. It’ll never come out of his mouth,” She announced and I sighed.

I know that oath. Very typical of the blood creek, always reverting back to the ancient ways.

The oath of the moon. It was an ancient oath that I didn’t even know that it was still used. I had heard stories from my Grandfather that if you want someone to keep your secrets, without fear of them ever revealing it,you would make the person take the oath of the moon.

Even if the said person desperately wants to reveal the secret, they wouldn’t be able to,even under rigorous torture. The words would never come out of their l*ps.

I didn’t know if there was any way to break the oath.

“Interesting,” I said,chuckling bitterly.

“He’s not Rielle’s mate either,” She but out and I glanced at her, surprised.

It does make sense. She was working with the leader of the blood creek, her true mate and somehow, since she realized that we believed Norman to be her mate, she went with it.

She wouldn’t do all that just to help an underdog.

“You won’t believe what I’m about to say now,” she said in a whisper.

“What is it?,” I demanded, hating the suspense.

“Eve’s mate isn’t Greyson. It’s Norman. Her fated mate.” She paused and I gazed at her,the shock evident on her face.

“Then Greyson…,” I began and she moved closer to me and whispered in my ear.

“Rielle’s mate. Fated mate.”
