Chapter 105
Mikayla found Jerome quite amusing.
He should’ve stayed with Kylie after escorting her, but instead he came back to her.

Mikayla ignored him and got out of bed.

Mikayla pretended to be calm.
“If you didn’t wake me up in the middle of the night, none of this would have happened!”
“Don’t you understand why I woke you up?” Jerome questioned her coldly.
Mikayla knew that Jerome saw her trending last night, and he came to confront her.
“You leaked the news about our divorce, didn’t you? All this to make a profit from Ansoft. I really
underestimated you.”
Although she wasn’t the one that leaked the news, she tried to make it look like she did.
So Jerome was partially right about it.
“You seem upset? What’s the matter? Weren’t we about to get divorced? Are you regreting it?”
Jerome glanced at her coldly.
“Are
you hearing what you said? I just can’t stand watching you use your identity as Mrs. Miller to get attention for yourself.”
After saying that, Jerome walked to the bathroom. His expression was solemn.
Even though Mikaya knew the answer to it, she couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
It was similar to when Jerome hastily left with Kylie last night.
Just mere seconds before, he looked indifferent and claimed Kylike had nothing to do with him.
She had her hopes up because of it, only for him to let her down.
Mikayla’s phone on the bedside suddenly rang.
She picked it up and saw that it was from Betty.
“Mikayla, are you all right?”
Mikayla rubbed her temples and replied, “It wasn’t a big deal. But feeling drunk was uncomfortable. I’m not a good drinker after all.”
Betty laughed. “I’m calling to tell you that Ansoft’s new product sales have gone beyond our expectation. People are giving us good reviews, and businesses are looking to collaborate with us.”
“Really?”
This was great news for Mikayla.
Before she went to sleep, people online were still mocking her for getting drunk.
But she managed to divert everyone’s attention to the bottle of wine in her hand instead.
It was just a part of her plan, though she wasn’t certain about the outcome.
Now that her plan had worked, she was definitely happy about it.
She couldn’t wait to see the detailed result for herself..
She asked Betty, “Are you at Ansoft? I’ll come to look for you now.”
“Sure.”
After hanging up the phone, Mikayla noticed several unread messages.
Some of them were from Celeste and her aunt.
They were all concerned about what happened last night.
Mikayla replied with simple responses.
Then, she went to the room next door to freshen up.
She put on a simple make up, took her purse, and headed downstairs.
Jerome had already dressed up and was sitting at the dining table.
“Madam, you’re awake. How are you feeling?” Amy asked out of concern.
Thinking that Amy was asking about her getting drunk, Mikayla assured her, “Don’t worry, I’m fine.”
“That’s good. I’ve made some soup for both of you. You could easily use an extra serving. After all, it was
quite a rough night for you.”
Mikayla was confused.
