Chapter 113
A man happened to step out of his car.
He was dressed in a suit.
He was tall and exuded elegance.
His well defined face appeared even more handsome under the moonlight.
It was Jerome.
By his side was Mike, also in a suit, and the two were walking toward the steakhouse.
Feeling Mikayla’s gaze, Jerome glanced in her direction.
Mike also noticed her and nodded politely.
They seemed to have a dinner appointment here.
Mikayla smiled back at Mike and decided to ignore Jerome.
She tagged along with the other members of the band and walked away.
“Wow, he’s walking toward me. Could it be that he wants to talk to me?‘ the woman beside Mikayla said to her companion excitedly.
Mikayla looked over, and indeed, Jerome was approaching them.
He quickly stopped in front of her.
“Are you drinking again?” Jerome asked indifferently.
Mikayla shrugged.
“What does it have to do with you?”
Jerome remained silent and fixed his gaze on her.
After hearing their conversation, the woman who had exclaimed earlier realized that Jerome hadn’t
noticed her.
She stared at him longingly while leaving with her companion.
Mikayla felt like cursing.
What’s there to look at?
Though Jerome might look dashing, in reality, he’s just a scumbag.
Michael probably knew Jerome, and he would’ve seen him trending on social media last night.
Afraid of causing misunderstandings, he politely responded, “Mr. Miller, Ms. Davidson is just having a couple of beers. She hasn’t had too much. We’re actually planning to take her home.”
Jerome’s gaze shifted to Michael and said coldly, “She’s my wife. She doesn’t need others to take her
home.”
Upon hearing Mikayla was Jerome’s wife, the members of the band standing nearby were stunned.
They knew Mikayla was married, but they didn’t expect her husband to be such a good–looking and
Imposing person.
They felt insignificant standing next to him.
Jerome’s remarks left Michael embarrassed.
Mikayla glared at Jerome and shouted, “What do you mean by ‘others‘? He’s my friend! Go mind your own business. Michael, let’s go!”
As she was about to leave, Jerome grabbed her arm.
“What are you doing?” Mikayla was furious.
At the same time, Mike approached them.
Jerome held Mikayla’s arm tightly and didn’t let go.
He said to Mike, “Go in and greet Mr. Parson and the others.”
Mike wasn’t surprised by his instructions and nodded.
“Sure, Mr. Miller.”
As he went into the steakhouse, Jerome led Mikayla toward the car,

The driver, who had already observed what was going on, quickly opened the door for Mikayla.
“Let go of me! I can go home by myself. I don’t need you to take me home.”
Mikayla shook Jerome off.
“Mikayla, you think what happened last night wasn’t enough? Do you want to trend on social media again?
Jerome asked indifferently.
Only now did Mikayla notice that the onlookers outside the steakhouse seemed to recognize her.
They were even trying to take pictures of her.
She didn’t like being judged by others.
What happened last night was unavoidable.
So, without putting up a fight with Jerome, she covered her face and got into the car.
Until Jerome’s car left, the band members were still a little confused.
“Michael, do you think Ms. Davidson is having a fight with her husband?”

Michael looked at the departing car and said, “Don’t worry. She can handle things on her own.”
“How long have you known her? You seem to understand her well,” one of the members teased him.
“Stop making jokes about her,” Michael said seriously. “Some jokes may be harmless to us but they could cause her trouble.”
