Mikayla smiled and said, “You’re young, but you seemed quite experienced.”
As they walked closer to the stage, Kenny and the others also noticed Mikayla.
They greeted her warmly.
The atmosphere was immediately livened up:
After some banter, it was time for Michael and his band to perform on stage.
They sat in their respective seats.
They seemed at ease and relaxed.

As the lead singer, Michael naturally attracted the most attention.

However, when she learned that Jerome disliked noisy people, she gave up the drums
completely.

“Miss, I remember you mentioned before you could play the drums?” Michael appeared
beside her, interrupting her reverie.
Michael’s face was noticeably more confident and relaxed now, probably from enjoying

“Yep.” Mikayla was feeling the vibe as well.
“Then why don’t you come up and play for a bit?”
Seeing the familiar drum set on stage and Michael’s encouraging gaze, Mikayla felt a
twinge of excitement.
“Come on, Miss!” Kenny beckoned on the stage as well.
Mikayla stood up gracefully and joked with Kenny and the others, “It’s been a long time. since I’ve played. None of you are allowed to laugh at me if it’s bad!”
“Don’t worry, Miss! Just have fun, we’ve got your back!”
“Yeah, even if you make a mistake, it’s okay. It’s just for fun, as long as you’re enjoying
yourself.”
Encouraged by her friends, Mikayla felt confident.
She took the drumsticks and sat down in front of the drum set.
First, she tapped each drum as a warm–up.
Then she stylishly twirled the drumsticks between her fingers, eliciting cheers from the
audience below.
“Miss, what
song would you like to play?” Michael asked.
Mikayla thought for a moment.
“How about ‘Stayin Alive“?”
It was a song she used to practice frequently and was quite familiar with.
“Alright.” Michael signaled to his friends.
He didn’t sing, instead, he took out his phone to record.
With the song decided, the music started playing soon after.

Mikayla raised her arms and struck the drumhead.
She was hitting the drums swiftly, releasing boundless energy and rhythm.
At the climax, the drumbeat became even more powerful and passionate, stirring the
emotions of the audience.
Mikayla felt like she had returned to her carefree and joyful youth.
As she played, she became more and more skilled.
When the song ended, thunderous applause erupted from below.
Mikayla raised the drumstick in her hand and smiled gratefully at the audience.
Then, she exchanged high–fives with her friends on stage.
As she stepped off the stage, the smile on her face never faded.
“Miss, you played really well,” Michael sincerely complimented her.
