Back in Time: Unshackling From Love Chapter 234

Chapter 234

Mikayla smiled. “Okay, you should keep thinking this way.”

Celeste felt confused. “Why are you talking about me? You haven’t told me everything yet!”

“What else is there to say? Kylie’s purpose is to make Jerome believe that I harbor malicious thoughts against her. Now that she has succeeded, this matter is over,” Mikayla sald.

“I want to divorce him anyway, so I don’t care what he thinks of me. Alright, I’m in a rush. I’ll hang up first!” Mikayla ended the call before Celeste could respond.

She packed a few sets of clothes from her closet and a set of travel–sized skin care cosmetics. Then, she zipped the suitcase and went to the bathroom.

Fortunately, the injury was on her left palm, which didn’t affect her ability to wash up.

She had just finished freshening up when Amy’s voice sounded from outside the room. “Madam, are you! awake? Breakfast is ready.”

She opened the door.

Amy immediately noticed something was wrong. “Madam, what happened to your hand?”

Mikayla smiled. “It’s nothing. You can head down first. I’ll come soon. By the way, don’t tell Jerome about my hand.”

was puzzled. “Madam, is your hand injured? Why can’t I tell Mr. Miller? He returned after he knew you were back last night. He even asked me about your condition.”

Mikayla replied, “It’s just a scratch. I’m fine. You don’t need to tell him about it.”

She didn’t need any sympathy from Jerome. It was redundant.

After Amy went downstairs, Mikayla tidied herself up and checked the time. It was already 9:30 am.

It would take an hour to get to Eduard’s place. She draped her coat on her left hand and dragged her

small suitcase downstairs with her right hand.

Surprisingly, Jerome was still at home. He was sitting on the couch and listening to Mike’s report.

Mike saw her and lowered his head.

“Hello, Mrs. Miller,” he greeted.

Jerome’s gaze fell on her suitcase. “Where are you going?”

Mikayla put on an indifferent expression. “I’m going to accompany Grandpa to visit his old friend.”

He frowned slightly and asked another question, “Why didn’t you answer my calls last night? Why did you block my WhatsApp?”

“I thought you were annoying.”

Mike felt uneasy when he heard that He wanted to be anywhere else but there.

It was quite unbelievable that Mikayla had blocked Jerome because she found him annoying. In the past, she had wanted to add everyone around him on WhatsApp.

Jerome’s expression darkened. He wanted to say something but hesitated when he noticed her attitude.

“Is there anything else? I’m in a hurry,” Mikayla said.

“Last night-

“What happened last night had nothing to do with me. It’s up to you whether you believe me or not,” she Interrupted Jerome.

He pursed his lips. “I’ll look into that afterward. I just want to know if you were injured last night. I returned to the elevator after comforting Mr. White. You’ve already left, but there are a few drops of blood there.”

Mikayla snorted.

“You should save your energy for Kylie. I’m leaving,” she said as she dragged her suitcase

“Mikayla.” Jerome felt strangely panicked and stopped her. “You don’t plan to return home before Grandma’s birthday, am I right?”
