Enslaved by the Alpha King Novel Chapter 3

  1. Valuable Goods

The man’s eyes glinted with a mix of amusement and cunning. “You two are young and beautiful. If I sell you to the auction, I bet I’d get a really good payout,” he said and looked us up and down. “Both of you stand up for me, would you?”

“I am not doing anything you ask!” Aria said defiantly.

I shot her a warning glance. It’s best not to antagonize these men, so I stood up. “Aria, please,” I whispered.

Aria understood my fear and stood up too.

“Now, darlings, why don’t you do a turn for me?” the man cooed.

“Fuck off,” Aria hissed.

Aria’s defiance pierced the air, her voice filled with anger and defiance. The room fell into a tense silence as her words hung in the air, challenging the authority of the man and his pack of wolves.

The man’s expression hardened, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Aria with a mix of irritation and amusement. He seemed momentarily taken aback by her audacity, but a cruel smile slowly crept back onto his face.

“Such feisty spirit,” he sneered, his voice laced with a threatening undertone. “But remember, my dear, defiance comes at a cost.”

My heart raced as I watched the dangerous exchange between Aria and the man.

“Aria, please,” I whispered, my voice trembling with concern. “We need to be smart about this. Let’s find a way to steer through this situation together.”

The man turned his attention to me. “You seem like a smart girl. What is your name?”

“Destiny,” I said quietly.

“Listen to Destiny, Aria. Now give me a nice spin.” the man smirked.

Aria glanced at me, her eyes filled with determination and defiance. But she understood the need to comply, at least for now. With a deep breath, she stood up and began to turn, mirroring my earlier movements.

Her steps were measured, but I could see the fire burning in her eyes, a silent promise that she wouldn’t let herself be broken by these men. As she completed the turn, she returned to her seat with a stoic expression, her spirit unwavering despite the circumstances.

I wish I could show my strength like Aria, but I had a feeling it wouldn’t go well with these guys. I had to be extra careful around these guys.

The man’s smirk widened, relishing in our compliance. “Well done, ladies,” he said, his voice dripping with a mix of condescension and amusement. “You’ll be useful assets for the auction.”

None of us spoke.

“You can’t just take our daughter and sell them. They are innocents,” Our father spoke up with desperation in his voice.

The rogue wolf turned to him, his lips twisted into a grin. He slowly stepped toward Dad. “And who will stop us? You?”

The room seemed to tighten with tension as the man advanced on our father, his eyes gleaming with a mix of arrogance and malevolence. Dad stood his ground, his face a mixture of anger and fear.

“Listen closely, old man,” the rogue wolf hissed, his voice dripping with menace. “In this world, power is what matters. We take what we want, and we do as we please. Your daughters are valuable commodities, and they’ll fetch a high price. Whether you like it or not, they’re coming with us.”

Dad’s hands clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white. “You won’t get away with this. I won’t let you,” he said and lunged at the man.

The room erupted into chaos as Dad lunged at the rogue wolf. The air was thick with the sounds of scuffling and shouts. The man’s pack of followers reacted quickly, rushing forward to restrain Dad. Despite his valiant attempt, he was outnumbered and overpowered.

Aria and I watched in horror, our hearts racing, as the struggle unfolded before us. Dad’s fists swung, connecting with a couple of the rogues, but it was clear that he was at a severe disadvantage.

“No! Let him go!” Aria’s voice cracked as she shouted.

I felt a surge of adrenaline course through me. I had to do something. I couldn’t stand there idly while my father was being attacked. I scanned the room desperately, looking for anything I could use as a weapon. My gaze fell on a heavy vase on a nearby table.

With a rush of determination, I grabbed the vase and swung it at one of the rogues restraining Dad. The vase shattered against his shoulder, and he stumbled back with a yelp of pain. It was a small victory, but it bought Dad a moment of respite.

Aria was not one to be left out of the fight either. She kicked one of the rogues in the shins with surprising strength, causing him to release his grip on Dad’s arm. Dad used the opportunity to break free, and the three of us stood together, ready to defend ourselves.

The rogue leader, his face twisted with fury, advanced toward us with a snarl. “You little brats!” he spat, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation.

Dad’s face was grim, his breathing heavy from the scuffle. “You won’t take my daughters,” he said, his voice laced with a determination that sent shivers down my spine.

The room had transformed into a battleground, a clash between our desperate fight for freedom and the rogue wolves’ determination to assert their dominance. Despite our efforts, the odds were still against us. The rogue leader gestured to his pack, and they closed in on us again, forming a tight circle.

“That’s enough of this nonsense,” the rogue leader announced and attacked my father with full force.

This time, Dad couldn’t avoid it. His throat was slashed, and blood dripped down his neck.

I looked at Aria, who looked as if she was frozen in shock.

Victor, our father, knelt frozen in place, a look of shock on his face. Blood oozed from the wound on his neck, staining the floor underneath him.

A mix of terror and grief washed over me, my mind struggling to process the horrifying reality of what just happened. I wanted to throw up all over the carpet.

Our Mom reacted first and started screaming.

Mom’s piercing scream shattered the stillness that had enveloped the room, jolting me out of my stunned state.

I felt a lump forming in my throat and I couldn’t breathe. The room seemed to spin around me.

“Marc shut that woman’s mouth,” the man ordered one of his henchmen.

Marc swiftly moved towards Mom, his expression void of any remorse or hesitation. With a cold and emotionless gaze, he reached out and broke her neck.

No…this can’t be happening. Both of our parents were now dead.

Aria’s screams pierced the air, her eyes wide with terror and desperation as she struggled against her captor’s grip. The sound of her pleas and the sight of her helpless struggle intensified the knot of helplessness and rage building within me. I wanted to lash out, to fight back, but I stayed still.

“Why, why did you kill them?” I said, my voice is barely audible.

“What, sweetheart?” the man cooed.

“Why did you kill my parents? You didn’t have to do that,” I said, a bit louder this time.

He took a step closer, his cold gaze locking onto mine.

“Oh, sweetheart,” he sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. “Did you really believe that we had any intention of keeping them alive? They were disposable, just like anyone else who gets in our way.”

His words sent a chill down my spine, a realization dawning on me that there was no reason with these merciless wolves.
