“I thought you said Eric expected something to happen between the two of us while he was gone?”
“He did,” Logan pulls me to him, resting his head over mine while I get to use his chest as my pillow. “That doesn’t mean he won’t be grumpy and angry that it actually happened. You might have to win him over. If I know my brother, he is going to be frowning for at
least a week.”
“Shit…I didn’t want to hurt him,” I whisper and try not to enjoy it too much when Logan strokes my back. But in the end, I can’t help but melt under his touch. “Keep doing that. It feels really good.”
Logan snickers. “Wasn’t planning on stopping.”
“Good.”
He releases another happy sound. “You know, I really want to mark you, but I can’t. Not without my brother taking you at the same time. We need to mark you during the same session, and it might hurt because…you know.”
I blink. “I know?” what is he talking about?
He sighs. “We need to penetrate you at the same time. You need to be taken by both of us before the marking happens, or else you will only belong to one of us.”
“Oh…I didn’t know that.” I admit. Then his words sink in, and my face burns. “Wait a minute… At the same time?! I need to have one in my…and the other…?”
“Yes,” Logan burrows his nose into my hair and kisses me like I’m the most precious thing

“I’m not worried,” I lie and feel my face heat again. The thought of being penetrated by both of my mates at the same time is scary. I’m worried they won’t fit, that I will be too nervous to get wet between my legs, but I’m not going to admit that to Logan.
“That’s good,” Logan murmurs and strokes his hand over my stomach, laughing softly.
The sound makes me tense. “What?”
“Nothing…I just think your belly is cuter than usual.

My face flushes. “What? Why?” I demand, needing to know what he is referring to. Does he think I’m round or something?
“Well,” Logan grins and lightly pats the bump of my stomach. “You ate a lot for breakfast today, and it shows.”
I blush even more and try to push him away, but he only holds me tighter, not letting me
reaction. my go. “Logan! Stop it!” I cry out in embarrassment, unable to hide
He throws back his head and laughs, the sound deep and infectious. “You know… for such a small thing, you sure eat like a big guy. I’m surprised how much you’re able to wolf down when you put your mind to it.”
“That’s because I was never given this much food back when I was treated like a slave and
an Omega!”
Logan stops laughing, amusement melting into tenderness and concern. “Right… I’m sorry for making you remember the old times. Shit. Are you okay?”

His hand finds mine, squeezing in apology. I am more than okay. I’m happy to know that he is concerned about my feelings, and his words confirm he is a good mate.
“I’m fine,” I answer honestly. “But I’m starting to get hungry. You want to grab food somewhere?”
“Sure. How about I take you to this luxurious restaurant with a nice view of the beach? I could call them and make a reservation.”
“That sounds lovely,” I admit.
“That’s the spirit.” Logan smiles and gives me a kiss. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to grab a few things, and then I’ll meet you downstairs. Don’t go anywhere.”
“I won’t,” I promise and smile when he pulls away.
I watch Logan leave the room and then roll over onto my stomach, stretching and groaning. I feel all hot and bothered. My need for both Logan and Eric is growing to the point of insanity. I need to find a way to get Eric back into the house before I go crazy.
I need to mark them and have them mark me…
Logan returns to the room a few minutes later, dressed up in a crisp white shirt tucked into a pair of dark jeans and black leather boots. His hair is styled back neatly, and he looks dashingly handsome with an air of sophistication. My mouth waters as I take him all in, admiring the way his muscles bulge beneath the fabric of his clothes.
He has accessorized his outfit with a brown belt, completing the look flawlessly, making him look even more attractive than before. He catches me staring at him and smiles.
“You ready to go?” he asks and tries not to laugh when he realizes I haven’t even gotten dressed. “You planning on going naked?”

My face flames. “Sorry…I was deep in thought and sort of forgot to put clothes on.”
Logan smiles before taking my hand. “Come with me. Eric has this collection of woman’s clothing that he bought for you in the hope of you wearing them. I’m sure we can find a
nice dress that fits the occasion.”
I’m more than eager to follow Logan as he leads me to Eric’s room. The collection of dresses is beyond what I expected. They are elegant and beautiful, with intricate beading and lace detailing that I would never have thought of wearing in my old life, but now it seems like the perfect opportunity to wear something as special as these dresses.
We finally settle on a long, white dress that flows down gracefully with a v–neckline and an empire waist. It’s the perfect choice for this occasion, and I instantly feel beautiful when I slip it over my head.
Logan smiles approvingly at me before we head outside. He opens the car door for me and helps me get comfortable inside before getting into the driver’s seat. As we make our way down the street, a car pulls up alongside us, and someone calls out Logan’s name.
We both turn in unison to find one of the warrior wolves walking toward us with a grave expression. I don’t know his name, but I know he left with Eric to make peace with one of our enemy packs. What is he doing back without Eric?
Logan must be thinking the same thing. His face darkens, and my heart sinks. I can already tell something is wrong. The next few moments play out like a movie in slow motion. The man asks to speak with Logan alone. They walk further away, and I watch his
expression changes from joy to sorrow.
My stomach drops as Logan turns to me with tears in his eyes. My heart shatters into a million pieces when he finally says the words, “Eric is dead.”
