“Alpha Nick, let me go,” Sheila said between gritted teeth. It was as if she was talking to a rock. His dark eyes showed that his wolf, Titan, had taken control.
Alpha Nick hardly allowed his wolf control unless it was because of a war, as the beast could cause havoc. How could he allow his wolf control just because he was upset?
Sheila was suddenly scared. Not for once did she get the opportunity to acquaint herself with his wolf, whom she had only heard to be brutal. If she had the faintest idea that Alpha Nick would be here, tonight, she would have rather gone somewhere else.
She was thrown into the passenger seat of his Rolls Royce as he carefully buckled her up, restricting her movement. Sheila was strong but could not be compared with Alpha Nick.
It didn’t take long for him to subdue her when she tried to get physical. To save herself from any questionable injury when she returned home, she decided to play by his card as she thought of how to upset him into taking
her back to where he picked her up from.
The door was locked before she could unbuckle herself and escape. Alpha Nick sped away with Sheila inside the car, leaving his mate behind.
The car had sped off before Goldie got to the parking lot. Dialing Sheila’s number, she was disheartened when the phone rang in her purse. Sheila had not carried anything along, so there was nothing for Goldie to track her
with.
Charlotte had no idea who Goldie was, but Goldie knew her. Nevertheless, she was more worried about Sheila, as she had not brought any bodyguards with her.
“That is the woman she came with,” Beatrice pointed at Goldie when she reached the car park with Charlotte.
If she couldn’t get her revenge on Sheila, it wasn’t a bad idea to have it on Goldie instead. Charlotte was amazed, as she used to be the only best friend of Sheila in the past.
If Sheila had not stolen her shine all those years, they would have remained best friends. It was quite interesting to see that Sheila had made a friend. A beautiful one too. Whereas, Sheila was still outstanding in that aspect.
“You! Where is Alpha Nick?” Charlotte demanded, but Goldie saw the opportunity to exert the revenge she had.

“Isn’t he your mate? How should I know? I should rather ask you where She…” she was about to mention Sheridan and paused. Swallowing tightly, her lips picked out the fake name. “Sheila. Tell Alpha Nick to return her, or he won’t like what’s coming to him.”
If things got out of hand, she wouldn’t hesitate to inform the Alpha King. If a war broke out, she was sure that even with Alpha Nick’s strength and power, he would never be able to win against the Alpha King.
Charlotte felt insulted by Goldie’s boasting. The only person she feared was Sheila, but how could she have known that Goldie was worse than Sheila, as she never tried to hide her true self like Sheila would.
“Who do you think you are to threaten him? Isn’t Sheila the whore who would not take her claws off him?”
Goldie’s face was red with anger. She didn’t hold back, slapping Charlotte hard on the face. Beatrice fearfully stepped aside, as she wasn’t very strong in combat. Goldie was confident to take down these bitches if they dared to fight back.
She knew that Sheila wouldn’t like this, but how could she sit and watch these fools call the daughter of the Alpha King defaming names? “I dare you to call her a whore one more time, and Alpha Nick might just be losing his stupid mate altogether.”
Goldie’s petite stance was fearful to behold, but suddenly, Beatrice regained some confidence upon recalling that it was her party, and every guest was here because of her, including her bodyguards.
“Hey, you motherfucker. This is my party. I will teach you a lesson.” She quickly summoned her bodyguards and
instructed,
“Teach the bitch a lesson.”
Goldie was fearless of the three hunks in front of her, ready for defense when a familiar masculine voice cut
through.
“Enough, Bea,” Beta Gustav intervened. “You all should go back inside,” he said to the bodyguards.
Beatrice was angered that after everything, her brother was still standing up for Sheila’s friend. “She has to be taught a lesson. She knew Sheila was married, but they both kept it from you.”
Beta Gustay, was shocked by the news. “She’s married? Is Alpha Nick her mate?” His desperate heart was already

This was the first time he found a woman his wolf liked, so how could she be married, and why didn’t she inform him? Goldie could not allow Sheila to be wrongly painted in public and corrected, pointing at Charlotte,
“That’s his mate over here. It was a contract marriage, and they already divorced.”
A relief sigh escaped Beta Gustav as he addressed his sister. “Did you hear that?” He added slowly, “a contract marriage, and it’s already over.” As he reminisced over the words, he asked Goldie,
*Then why did he take her away?” He couldn’t help the feeling that Alpha Nick was unknowingly in love with
Sheila.
Goldie didn’t want to give any more information, knowing that Sheila wouldn’t like that. She pushed everything on Charlotte. “Why not ask his mate? Sometimes, people don’t know what they have until they lose it.”
Beta Gustav faintly guessed that he was right in his guessing. Alpha Nick must have only been realizing his loss.

Overwhelmed by frustration, he directed his anger at Beatrice’s bodyguards. “I told you guys to leave. What are you still doing here?” Beta Gustav chastised one of the bodyguards who responded sheepishly,
“Beta Gustav, she looks familiar.”
Goldie’s palm was sweating instantly as she began to sense trouble. If her identity was revealed, then Sheila would be doomed with it.
“No. You must be mistaken, I don’t come from around here,” she forced a smile, trying to hide her face with her long hair. The bodyguard insisted,
“That is what I’m talking about. Aren’t you the daughter of the Alpha King’s Beta?”
