The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna Chapter 71

Chapter 71

Earlier, Charlotte had run out of her room because of the mouse, not knowing where she was headed but was unfortunate to end up in the training room.

Seeing how haggard she looked after being beaten by Anita the last time, the she–wolves, especially, were happy.

The unmated ones wished their Alpha would just handpick them rather than relying on the mate bond. Not only was Charlotte proud and disrespectful towards pack members but she was also weak, If there was a war, no one would have the confidence to be led by her.

They would rather surrender to the enemy. No wonder Alpha Nick had not announced nor accepted her as his

“Who do we have here? Charlotte? Why haven’t you trained for the past few days?” One of the she–wolves, Kari asked. She was strong and daring, so Charlotte was no match for her.

Charlotte realized too late that she was in the training room without Alpha Nick, nor beta Dustin but then, she

was the Alpha’s mate, so how could anyone bully her?

“Stay away,” she said in a low growl, but Kari was just warming up. Charlotte had not had her bath for the past few days, she went into a state of unconsciousness and was beginning to smell from it.

“What is that stench? Am I the only one smelling it?” Kari mocked Charlotte as she drew closer, the others gave. thumbs up, encouraging her to continue. Everyone was happy to see Charlotte in this state.

Everyone except Anita. Though Anita did not like what Kari was doing, she was helpless in the situation as she lacked the power to help. Charlotte has been mean to her any way, and deserved it but she still could not console herself with that fact. The only person who could stop them was Beta Dustin or Bree. Whereas Bree was also away.

“No. Seems like the special stench accompanying the omegas,” one of the male warriors responded, and the training room roared with laughter.

“Has she been degraded?” Kari asked in a mocking tone, looking down on Charlotte, who was hugging herself like a frightened child.

“Stay away or I would have you punished,” Charlotte managed to say, recalling that she was the Alpha’s mate. All she had to do was take her training seriously and she would have Alpha Nick wrapped around her fingers again, or so she thought.

Kari didn’t seem to be having it, having envied Charlotte for a while for being the Alpha’s mate. The Alpha’s attitude towards Charlotte the last time left a lot to be desired.

“How can you punish me when the Alpha has not officially introduced you to the pack? Does it mean you are nothing to him? He allowed Anita to beat you badly.”

Without thinking, Charlotte balled her hand and punched Kari in the face. “How dare you talk to me like that?”

Kari did not hesitate to return it since the Alpha did not attempt to stop Anita from disciplining Charlotte the last time. She returned the punch double, Charlotte fell on the floor, and the training room turned into an uproar of laughter.

Charlotte could not stand the shame, standing to her feet and attempting a kick this time, but that only resulted in her being beaten up by Kari. All she could do was scream for Beta Dustin to hear and come to her rescue since everyone in here did not seem willing to come to her aid.

Fortunately, her screams attracted Tom, who came to her aid. He punched Kari in the face, but that was when one of the head warriors, Rick, stood in Kari’s defense.

It resulted in both Charlotte and Tom’s unconscious forms being sent to their rooms in the omegas quarters once again.

Beta Dustin could not hold his laughter from where he hid to watch the drama unfold.

The Moon Shine Pack was bustling with activities when Alpha Nick arrived. All the unmated Alphas were in attendance, as well as mated ones who were there for business and other opportunities.

Alpha Nick stepped out of his car with his bodyguards, giving the key to the Valet stationed at the car park.

The bodyguards were once again ushered away from their bosses by the trained ushers. The pack’s auditorium was filled with elegant, gorgeous, and extravagant men and women from only the werewolf communities. Music flooded the venue with the best wines being served.

The lights were captivating, giving the venue an elegant appeal. Everyone was busy with something, except Alpha Nick, who could not help thinking about the mysterious woman he slept with.

He was disinterested in the activities but managed to exchange a few words with some of the Alphas. He looked curiously around for Sheila, but there was no sign of her. What if that manager lied to him?

Alpha Nick was beginning to feel played. He wasn’t interested in anything concerning the Alpha King’s daught

He was just here for the opportunity to see Sheila, but there was still no sign of her.

The Alpha King, his Luna, and seven sons were all around, so even if Sheila was trying to make an appearance as she did at the gala awards, she should have been here by now.

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for honoring our invitation. I am Kyle, the MC for the occasion. I formally welcome you to the Alpha King’s daughter’s welcome party.”

Sounds of applause echoed in the air, so Alpha Nick hummed and forced a clap as well.

“Sheridan Warner is very special to us, and when away, she took our hearts with her. Now that she’s back, our hearts are equally joyful.”

“This is her party, so it can never begin without her. Everyone, with a standing ovation and a round of applause,. let’s welcome our one and only, Sheridan Warner,” Kyle roared as everyone stood up in a standing ovation, clapping their hands to welcome the Alpha King’s daughter.

Alpha Nick was disinterested in all the excitement going on, but when the spotlight shone on a familiar face, he could not feel his heart anymore.

Sheila’s heart skipped a beat when she heard the sound of the Rolls Royce pulling into the car park of the packhouse. The Dark Moon Pack had one of the most luxurious pack houses, requiring the services of omegas all the time. The Alpha had been away on an important journey and no one knew how long it was going to take. His sudden arrival caused the omegas to hasten about their duties as if walking on eggshells as Sheila spoke to her most trusted friend with a heavy heart. “You have to go. Alpha Nick is back. Please use the back door so he doesn’t see you. He is quite sensitive so don’t let him catch your scent.” Seated on the curvy kitchen stool, her most trusted friend, Goldie, felt an inexplicable pain in her chest. “Why should you be afraid of your husband? You even call him by his title.”
