Chapter 38
“Everyone, quiet down.” Peter waved his hand, gesturing for everyone to be quiet.
But some people still grumbled, “Who is this ignorant woman? Coming here to cause trouble, isn’t she afraid of ruining her fortune?”
Gina smiled indifferently. If the fortune-tellers were so efficacious, everyone could be successful.
She didn’t believe in fate, only in herself.
Gina casually remarked, “You’re all rushing to give him money, just to make his mansion bigger in the wealthy district.”
As soon as she said this, everyone fell silent. Someone asked, “Mr. Lennon, didn’t you say that most of the income is used for church operations and renovations?”
“Of course, only a portion is left for myself. Don’t believe her,” Peter hastily explained.
Everyone believed Peter.
Peter began to feel anxious and thought, ‘Did she actually know something?”
He remained calm and said, “Miss, please don’t cause trouble. Let’s discuss any issues privately.”
Gina knew he was scared.
Gina replied with a faint smile, “Sure,”
Peter led Gina to a room, his face immediately darkening.
“What do you want? If you’re here to cause trouble intentionally, don’t dream. I know many wealthy and influential people. With just one phone call, I can have them deal with you. Watch your words,” Peter said aggressively.
Gina remained unfazed and said, “Know many wealthy people? Like Olivia from the Miller family?”
Peter snorted, “You know. That’s enough.”
But Peter thought, “Wait, how did she know all this?”
He felt uneasy and asked, “Who are you?”
“Who am I? You probably don’t remember because you have done too many shameful things. But because of your ‘disaster’ comment, I’ve suffered a lot of ridicule and humiliation. So, how should we settle this score?” Gina’s clear eyes narrowed dangerously as she said.
Peter thought, ‘Disaster, the Miller family… She is Gina.
Peter quickly regained his composure but showed some disdain, saying, “So you’re the neglected daughter of the Miller family. You’re just resentful, wanting to settle scores with me, right? What can you do to me? Huh? Dare to hit me?”
Peter, being older, started to rely on his age. “Try hitting me, and I’ll make you bankrupt with one phone call,” he said.
“That depends on whether you have the ability,” Gina replied casually.

Peter sneered, “I advise you not to overestimate yourself.”
Gina didn’t bother with his nonsense. She took out a ledger from her canvas bag and said, “This is evidence of your embezzling renovation fees from Vaprebara Church over the years. And also, you advise others on morality while frequenting questionable places, as well as accepting money for favors and speaking one way to some and another to others.
Peter widened his eyes and found it incredulous. He s n a t e d the ledger from Gina’s hands and grew increasingly anxious as he read, realizing the seriousness of his situation. “Where did you get these things?” he asked.
“Do I need to report to you how I got them?” Gina’s expression turned cold, and in an instant, Peter felt intense pressure
from her.
Peter gritted his teeth, feeling nervous. He thought about tearing up the ledger.
Gina sneered. I have a backup.”
Being seen through by her made Peter feel embarrassed. He thought, ‘She has some skills. I couldn’t confront her directly!
“What do you want? Money? How much money will it take for you to mind your own business?” Peter asked.
If Gina exposed all his secrets, he wouldn’t be able to continue his livelihood as a fortune teller, not to mention the damage to his reputation and status.
“I don’t need your dirty money, Gina sneered.
Besides, what she least lacked was money.
Then what do you want?” Peter grew impatient.
“I want you to expose how Olivia bribed you and how you manipulated things in front of Ella,” Gina said casually.
‘So, it was a family dispute that brought her to me, Peter thought.
But Peter didn’t want to get involved. If he exposed Olivia, it would also expose him as a fraud.
But if he didn’t go, Gina definitely wouldn’t let it go. Grinding his teeth, Peter said, “I can expose Olivia, but you have to guarantee that I can walk away unscathed. Let your family deal with the commotion, but don’t involve me.”
Gina smiled contemptuously and said, “Are you negotiating with me? Do you have the qualifications to negotiate with me?”
Gina’s gaze became as sharp as a blade.
“She’s too arrogant, Peter thought.
“What do you mean? Even if I do as you say, you’ll still expose my private affairs, won’t you?” Peter asked through gritted
teeth
“Yes,” Gina replied nonchalantly.
“Why?” Peter didn’t understand.
“Because I don’t like you, a said with a half-smile.
Peter was p i s s e d off and pointed at Gin, wanting to curs
e, but couldn’t find the words.

“Or, you can go explain to your followers now, apologize, and repent. Then you won’t have to worry,” Gina kindly suggested.
Peter naturally wouldn’t do something that would ruin his reputation.
Taking back the ledger, Gina said, “Then let me help you.”
After speaking. Gina walked out of the room. Peter stared at the canvas bag Gina carried, not knowing what was inside, but he was certain Gina was going to publicly expose him now, and he couldn’t sit still.
“Stop, stop right there.” Peter hurriedly followed, extending his hand in a desperate attempt to grab Gina’s hair, but Gina reacted quickly, dodging his hand.
Peter resorted to acting shamelessly, falling to the ground and not getting up. He grinned maliciously at Gina, “You’re
finished.”
He started acting and shouted. “Ouch, my head, it hurts so much…”
Peter heard footsteps approaching and shouted for help, Help, help. She’s attacking me.”
The footsteps drew nearer, and Peter became even more smug. There were surveillance cameras here. If they recorded Gina hitting him and with a witness, he could definitely make Gina pay a hefty price. That would be the cost of provoking him.
The footsteps paused beside him, and Peter immediately looked up and said, “Kind man, please help me…”
