Louisa was trying to embarrass Mikayla.
Mikayla always acted like a wealthy woman.
Her cars and bags were worth tens of millions.
She even paid it all with a black card.
Who knew she was actually secretly selling jewelry.
If Jerome were to hear about this, he would surely feel embarrassed and disgusted with
her.
However, Mikayla showed no signs of embarrassment whatsoever.
She even nodded calmly.
“Yeah, it’s me. You’re not too dumb, after all. To be able to figure it out,” Mikayla replied.
When Mikayla took the screenshots yesterday, she deliberately cropped it in a way to still be able to make out the selling information.
She made it so that Louisa could easily guess that the earrings were being sold by her.
This way, Louisa would also realize that Jensen wasn’t as wealthy as he boasted.
He was just pretending to be rich, and she would hopefully fall out of her infatuation.
Hearing Mikayla’s response, Louisa felt a little annoyed.

“How much do you recklessly spend? You don’t even have ten thousand dollars on hand. Is that why you’re selling your jewelry?”
Mikayla chuckled.
“You’re mistaken. It’s precisely because I manage my finances prudently that I decided to sell things that should’ve been thrown away in the trash.”
“In the trash?”
Louisa had to do a double take as soon as she heard that.
She felt so proud wearing those earrings yesterday,
if it weren’t for Mikayla mentioning the second–hand website in the afternoon, she would have posted them on her Instagram.
So the earrings were picked up from the trash by Mikayla?
“No, why would earrings end up in the trash?” Louisa felt like Mikayla was trying to disgust
her.
“I threw them away,” Mikayla said truthfully. “I thought that things that didn’t belong to me were garbage, but then I thought it wouldn’t hurt to make use of them. It’s just that I didn’t expect that one person’s trash would end up as your treasure.”
Upon hearing this, Louisa became even more angry..
She had intended to make things difficult for Mikayla, but ended up being frustrated herself.
“Why would you throw away such an expensive pair of earrings? You can’t be spending Jerome’s money like this!” Louisa continued to pick on her.
“It’s hers once it’s in her hands, and she can dispose of it as she pleases.” Jerome intervened. “I’m not going to interfere with what she does.”
Louisa hadn’t expected Jerome to speak up for Mikayla, and her face turned red out of embarrassment.
Mikayla glanced at Jerome in surprise.
He knew what earrings she was talking about, and instead of getting angry, he even spoke up for her?
Hearing this, Stephen laughed.
“Jerome, go easy on her. The two of them have always liked to bicker since they were
young.”
The relationship between Mikayla and Louisa had always been poor.
Whenever they were together, they would fight.
Although he felt sorry for Louisa, he wouldn’t show favoritism toward his daughter in front of Jerome.
“Louisa, what are you doing? You start fighting with Mikayla as soon as you meet. Just sit

“Yeah, Louisa. What is all the fuss about? If you like any earrings, just let me know. I’ll buy them for you. Why buy second–hand? The Davidson family isn’t short of money,” Matilda
added.
Louisa thought of Jensen’s plan and couldn’t tell her parents about this matter.
She just made an excuse, saying, “It’s nothing.”
Mikayla then spoke up, “Aunt Matilda, I sold the earrings because I found them ugly. Louisa thought they looked unique and wanted to study the design. She didn’t know I was the
seller.”
