The smile on Mikayla’s face faded. “I’m not waiting for him. I’m just here for some water.”
“Mr. Miller called to tell me that he’s going on a business trip today and won’t be back,” explained Amy.
Then, Amy continued, “Mr. Miller was afraid that you would ignore him. I think he was trying to report his whereabouts to you by calling me.
“I think it’s great that Mr. Miller is trying to move back into the master bedroom. Please don’t be upset with him.”
Amy advised earnestly, “I think it would be nice if you put his things back in the bedroom.”
Mikayla said, “Amy, why don’t you prepare a guest room for me instead? I’ll give the master
bedroom to Jerome.”
Amy was baffled at Mikayla’s response.
Mikayla then sent a message to Michael, “Please thank your friend for me. I’ll treat you and
your friend to dinner another day.”
Michael replied, “It’s nothing. You don’t have to thank us.”
Michael never asked Mikayla about what happened or why she needed to delete the footage. Mikayla was grateful for that.
The next day, Mikayla went to meet Betty again. She expressed her willingness to invest 100 million into Ansoft Enterprise to help resolve the company’s lack of funds.

Mikayla breathed a sigh of relief after listening to what they said. At least she knew they
