Chapter 77
Upon hearing Irene’s question, Taylor lazily swiveled in his chair and sald, “Why don’t you
let her introduce herself?”
Mikayla had encountered lots of absurd situations in both of her lifetimes, but this might be taking the cake.
Trying to fool a woman who was pursuing Taylor as someone who was already married?
Mikayla asked, “If I say I have nothing to do with him and I didn’t come here willingly,
would you believe me?”
The woman clearly didn’t believe her and scoffed. “Who are you kidding! You must be here
for Taylor.
“You all think you can seduce Taylor! How dare you do this when he has a fiancée!”
Mikayla didn’t expect Irene to be Taylor’s fiancée.
“I’m sorry. I…” Mikayla began to exp
Mikayla began to explain, but Taylor shot her a warning glance.
Mikayla was forced to say, “It wasn’t my intention to come between you two. However, Mr. Blue pursued me relentlessly. I tried various ways to make him stop, but he wouldn’t.”
Upon hearing this, Taylor raised an eyebrow and looked at her with renewed interest..
“If you can convince him to stop pursuing me, I would be very grateful to you,” Mikayla said.
Irene didn’t believe in Mikayla at all. She said, “He tried to pursue you? Why would he
pursue a woman like you?”
Mikayla continued, “I don’t know what’s wrong with him but that’s the truth. If you don’t.
believe me, I can show you some evidence.”
With that, Mikayla walked to the office door. However, Taylor’s bodyguards blocked her
way, not allowing her to leave.
“You see, Mr. Blue doesn’t allow me to leave his side,” Mikayla said helplessly.
Irene stared at Taylor and said, “Taylor, why won’t you let her go? Do you really like her?”
Taylor didn’t answer Irene’s question. He just looked at Mikayla with a meaningful glance. Mikayla pretended not to notice as she continued to act like a helpless woman.
Irene noticed Taylor’s reaction and was furious!
“You really are in love with another woman. What about our engagement? Are you planning to break off our engagement?”
Taylor finally couldn’t stand it and said, “I never said I wanted to marry you. The engagement was arranged by our families and has nothing to do with me.”
“What do you mean it has nothing to do with you? We had an engagement party. It doesn’t matter what you do, you’re still my fiancé!”
Mikayla said with an exaggerated look, “Mr. Blue, how could you do this to your fiancée when you two already had an engagement party?
“You’re really too much. I will never accept a man like you! Besides, I’m in love with another
man.”
Irene couldn’t believe it. “You’re already in love with someone else, and he’s still pursuing you? Taylor, why are you doing this?”
Taylor ignored Irene and looked at Mikayla. “So what if she has another man that she loves? As long as she’s here with me, she can’t belong to another person!”
“Mr. Blue, please don’t do this to me. Please let me go,” Mikayla said.
Taylor smirked and said, “I can’t let you go.”
Irene listened to their conversation and saw the way they exchanged glances.
In the past, she had tried many tactics to drive away the women who pursued Taylor, but she couldn’t stop Taylor from liking someone else.
“I’ll make you love me again one day!” Irene exclaimed as she ran out of the office while
crying.
Watching Irene leave in sadness, Mikayla said, “Mr. Blue, you’re really a bad person. I can’t believe you would treat your fiancée like this.”
